EUROPEAN DOCTOR IN MUSICOLOGY
Francisco MartÍnez has been recently European PhD in musicology with "Cum Laude" outstanding. His research deals with the saxophone work of Luis de Pablo, composer who has written 25 works with the participation of this instrument.The thesis has been directed by Dr. Enrique Muñoz (Univesidad Autonoma de Madrid) and Dr. Claudia Colombatti (University of Rome 2 Tor Vergata).
The reading was held on 4 October and the jury consisted of Kazimir Morski (Poland), Claudia Colombati (Ita
ly), Manuel Angulo and Alfredo Vicent (Universidad Autonoma de Madrid) and Ana Laucirica (Public University of Navarra). The composer Luis de Pablo was present at the reading and so it was interpreted his work for saxophone and flute "Ouverture à la française" with the collaboration of Maria Antonia Rodriguez, flute soloist with the Orquesta de RTVE.
Also since this course Francisco Martínez begins to collaborate with the Autonomous University of Madrid as a teacher of Music. After performing at this university doctorates in musicology and creativity applied this opportunity let’s keep in touch with the Madrid campus of this great university and make their teaching future teachers of music.

He has performed in over 15 countries in the Americas, Asia and Europe and has performed five world premieres of concerts with orchestra.
